Eternal God, 

Miraculous Creator,

Astonished and amazed,

We approach you today.

Coming to in the name of Your Eternal Son,

By whom, and through whom

You created all things:

All that we see,

From cardinals and springtime flowers

To kindness 

Found in the faces of our neighbors.

All that we hear,

From the tree frogs and the buzzing cicadas

To words of hope and affirmation

That heal like a soothing balm.

All that we feel,

From the joy we share 

When we worship together,

To the hope we experience

When we see a new generation

confirming their faith,

To the concern we inherit 

As we hear each other’s prayers,

To the peace we find 

When we recognize you presence.

You stand high above it all,

And you have given complete authority

To Your Son,

The One who bears the name of victory,

The One who is the calm

at the center of our chaos,

And the One who brings the promise 

Of sure deliverance.

It’s in that Almighty name we pray.
